Install Vericto Proxy mode (local, PostgreSQL) in Continue

What you need first

  • Continue, installed.
  • Docker, which gives the docker command the server starts with.

Steps

  1. Open ~/.continue/config.yaml. On Windows it is %USERPROFILE%\.continue\config.yaml.
  2. Add this entry. If the file already has mcpServers, add only the item from - name on.
mcpServers:
  - name: "vericto-proxy"
    type: stdio
    command: "docker"
    args:
      - "run"
      - "-i"
      - "--rm"
      - "docker.io/vericto/vericto-proxy:5.0.0@sha256:4cec9c42f94946a6e0509192b89b63bd71450a7f27088496b034c9dd76791fa9"
      - "/usr/local/bin/vericto-proxy"
      - "mcp"
      - "--database-url-file"
      - "/run/secrets/db.url"
  1. Save the file and restart Continue.

Check it worked

Ask Continue: List the tools of vericto-proxy.

If it does not start

Cannot connect to the Docker daemon
Docker is not running. Start it, then restart Continue.
Nothing changes after a restart
The file is not valid YAML any more. Check that the entry is indented like the lines around it.
