Install Web & Developer Data Tools in Codex

What you need first

  • Codex, installed.
  • Nothing else: the server runs on its publisher's machines and Codex connects to it.

Steps

  1. Run this in a terminal. It writes the server into ~/.codex/config.toml, which the Codex CLI, its IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share.
codex mcp add web-and-dev-tools --url 'https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=highbrow_fame/pdf-text-extractor,highbrow_fame/domain-whois-dns-ssl,highbrow_fame/website-tech-stack,highbrow_fame/sitemap-url-extractor,highbrow_fame/domain-authority-rank,highbrow_fame/rss-feed-reader,highbrow_fame/openstreetmap-places,highbrow_fame/github-trending-repos,highbrow_fame/weather-api,highbrow_fame/github-repo-api'
  1. Start Codex again and type /mcp: the server is listed.

Check it worked

Ask Codex: List the tools of web-and-dev-tools.
