Install Rock's Apify Utility Actors in Cursor
What you need first
- Cursor, installed.
- Nothing else: the server runs on its publisher's machines and Cursor connects to it.
- Your own value for
YOUR_AUTHORIZATION.
Steps
- Open
~/.cursor/mcp.json, or create it. For one project only, use.cursor/mcp.jsonin that project. - Add this block. If the file already has
mcpServers, add only the entry inside it.
{
"mcpServers": {
"rock-apify-tools": {
"url": "https://mcp.apify.com?tools=rock-ai-tools/pdf-to-text-chunks-rag-ready,rock-ai-tools/csv-cleaner-deduplicator,rock-ai-tools/bulk-link-checker,rock-ai-tools/sitemap-to-url-list,rock-ai-tools/bulk-email-syntax-mx-validator,rock-ai-tools/bulk-phone-number-format-validator,rock-ai-tools/eu-vat-validator",
"headers": { "Authorization": "YOUR_AUTHORIZATION" }
}
}
} - Replace
YOUR_AUTHORIZATIONwith your own value. - Save the file. In Cursor's settings, find the server in the MCP section and turn it on if it is off.
Check it worked
Ask Cursor: List the tools of rock-apify-tools.
If it does not start
- 401 Unauthorized
- The endpoint wants a sign-in or a key. Sign in when Cursor asks, or check the value in place of the placeholder.
- The server starts, but its tools fail
- A
YOUR_…placeholder is still in the config, or its value is wrong. - Nothing changes after a restart
- The file is not valid JSON any more. Look for a missing comma where the block was added.
