Install Fast Data Actors (via Apify MCP) in Cursor
What you need first
- Cursor, installed.
- Nothing else: the server runs on its publisher's machines and Cursor connects to it.
Steps
- Open
~/.cursor/mcp.json, or create it. For one project only, use.cursor/mcp.jsonin that project. - Add this block. If the file already has
mcpServers, add only the entry inside it.
{
"mcpServers": {
"fast-data": {
"url": "https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=fast_data_asap/youtube-transcript-scraper,fast_data_asap/google-trends-scraper,fast_data_asap/google-news-scraper,fast_data_asap/job-search-api,fast_data_asap/career-site-jobs-api,fast_data_asap/document-to-markdown,fast_data_asap/ai-image-upscaler,fast_data_asap/ai-background-remover,fast_data_asap/bulk-image-downloader"
}
}
} - Save the file. In Cursor's settings, find the server in the MCP section and turn it on if it is off.
Check it worked
Ask Cursor: List the tools of fast-data.
If it does not start
- 401 Unauthorized
- The endpoint wants a sign-in or a key. Sign in when Cursor asks.
- Nothing changes after a restart
- The file is not valid JSON any more. Look for a missing comma where the block was added.
