Install Fast Data Actors (via Apify MCP) in Codex
What you need first
- Codex, installed.
- Nothing else: the server runs on its publisher's machines and Codex connects to it.
Steps
- Run this in a terminal. It writes the server into
~/.codex/config.toml, which the Codex CLI, its IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share.
codex mcp add fast-data --url 'https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=fast_data_asap/youtube-transcript-scraper,fast_data_asap/google-trends-scraper,fast_data_asap/google-news-scraper,fast_data_asap/job-search-api,fast_data_asap/career-site-jobs-api,fast_data_asap/document-to-markdown,fast_data_asap/ai-image-upscaler,fast_data_asap/ai-background-remover,fast_data_asap/bulk-image-downloader' - Start Codex again and type
/mcp: the server is listed.
Check it worked
Ask Codex: List the tools of fast-data.
If it does not start

- The endpoint wants a sign-in or a key. Sign in when Codex asks.
