Install Micro Tool Factory — Commerce, Jobs and Web Data in Devin Desktop

What you need first

  • Devin Desktop, installed.
  • Nothing else: the server runs on its publisher's machines and Devin Desktop connects to it.

Steps

  1. Open ~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json, or create it. On Windows it is %APPDATA%\devin\mcp_config.json.
  2. Add this block. If the file already has mcpServers, add only the entry inside it.

  "mcpServers": {
    "micro-tool-factory-apify": {
      "url": "https://mcp.apify.com?tools=micro-tool-factory/shopify-products,micro-tool-factory/shopify-variants,micro-tool-factory/multi-ats-jobs,micro-tool-factory/greenhouse-jobs,micro-tool-factory/sitemap-urls,micro-tool-factory/lever-jobs,micro-tool-factory/ashby-jobs,micro-tool-factory/rss-feed-items,micro-tool-factory/wordpress-posts,micro-tool-factory/github-releases,micro-tool-factory/hacker-news-search,micro-tool-factory/youtube-video-oembed,micro-tool-factory/app-store-reviews,micro-tool-factory/hacker-news-comments,micro-tool-factory/apple-app-search"
    }
  }
}
  1. Save the file and restart Devin Desktop.

Check it worked

Ask Devin Desktop: List the tools of micro-tool-factory-apify.

If it does not start

401 Unauthorized
The endpoint wants a sign-in or a key. Sign in when Devin Desktop asks.
Nothing changes after a restart
The file is not valid JSON any more. Look for a missing comma where the block was added.
