Install K8s Ro in TUUI
What you need first
- TUUI, installed.
- Docker, which
gives the
dockercommand the server starts with.
Steps
- Open
~/.codex/config.toml, or create it. The Codex CLI, its IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share this file. - Add this table at the end of the file.
{
"mcpServers": {
"mcp-k8s-ro": {
"command": "docker",
"args": ["run", "-i", "--rm", "ghcr.io/your-ko/mcp-k8s-ro:1.2.2"]
}
}
} - Save the file and restart TUUI.
Check it worked
Ask TUUI: List the tools of mcp-k8s-ro.
If it does not start
- Cannot connect to the Docker daemon
- Docker is not running. Start it, then restart TUUI.
- Nothing changes after a restart
- The file is not valid JSON any more. Look for a missing comma where the block was added.
