Install SpamTitan in Bob Shell

What you need first

  • Bob Shell, installed.
  • Docker, which gives the docker command the server starts with.
  • Your own values for YOUR_SPAMTITAN_API_URL,YOUR_SPAMTITAN_API_KEY.

Steps

  1. Open ~/.codex/config.toml, or create it. The Codex CLI, its IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share this file.
  2. Add this table at the end of the file.
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "spamtitan-mcp": {
      "command": "docker",
      "args": ["run", "-i", "--rm", "-e", "SPAMTITAN_API_URL", "-e", "SPAMTITAN_API_KEY", "ghcr.io/wyre-technology/spamtitan-mcp:v1.3.2"],
      "env": { "SPAMTITAN_API_URL": "YOUR_SPAMTITAN_API_URL", "SPAMTITAN_API_KEY": "YOUR_SPAMTITAN_API_KEY" }
    }
  }
}
  1. Replace YOUR_SPAMTITAN_API_URL,YOUR_SPAMTITAN_API_KEY with your own values.
  2. Save the file and restart Bob Shell.

Check it worked

Ask Bob Shell: List the tools of spamtitan-mcp.

If it does not start

Cannot connect to the Docker daemon
Docker is not running. Start it, then restart Bob Shell.
The server starts, but its tools fail
A YOUR_… placeholder is still in the config, or its value is wrong.
Nothing changes after a restart
The file is not valid JSON any more. Look for a missing comma where the block was added.
