What you need first

- uv, which
gives the
uvxcommand the server starts with. - Your own values for
YOUR_CUSTOM_DOMAIN_API_URL,YOUR_CUSTOM_DOMAIN_API_KEY.
Steps
- Run this in a terminal. It writes the server into
~/.codex/config.toml, which the Codex CLI, its IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share.
codex mcp add custom-domain --env CUSTOM_DOMAIN_API_URL=YOUR_CUSTOM_DOMAIN_API_URL --env CUSTOM_DOMAIN_API_KEY=YOUR_CUSTOM_DOMAIN_API_KEY -- uvx custom-domain-mcp==0.13.0 - Replace
YOUR_CUSTOM_DOMAIN_API_URL,YOUR_CUSTOM_DOMAIN_API_KEYwith your own values. - Start Codex again and type
/mcp: the server is listed.

If it does not start
- spawn uvx ENOENT
- uv is not on the PATH that Codex sees. Install it, or write the

uvxin the config. - The server starts, but its tools fail
- A
