Install Medical RAG MCP - Semantic search and retrieval of high-quality clinical medical data in Devin Desktop

What you need first

• Devin Desktop, installed.
• Nothing else: the server runs on its publisher's machines and Devin Desktop connects to it.

Steps

1. Open ~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json, or create it. On Windows it is %APPDATA%\devin\mcp_config.json.
2. Add this block. If the file already has mcpServers, add only the entry inside it.

3. Save the file and restart Devin Desktop.

Check it worked

Ask Devin Desktop: List the tools of medical-rag-mcp-test.

If it does not start

401 Unauthorized

The endpoint wants a sign-in or a key. Sign in when Devin Desktop asks.

Nothing changes after a restart

The file is not valid JSON any more. Look for a missing comma where the block was added.
