Install Amazon Creators in Augment Code
What you need first
- Augment Code, installed.
- Node.js, which
gives the
npxcommand the server starts with. - Your own values for
YOUR_AMAZON_CLIENT_ID,YOUR_AMAZON_CLIENT_SECRET,YOUR_AMAZON_PARTNER_TAG,YOUR_AMAZON_CREDENTIAL_VERSION,YOUR_AMAZON_MARKETPLACE.
Steps
- Open
~/.codex/config.toml, or create it. The Codex CLI, its IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share this file. - Add this table at the end of the file.
{
"mcpServers": {
"amazon-creators": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "@houtini/[email protected]"],
"env": { "AMAZON_CLIENT_ID": "YOUR_AMAZON_CLIENT_ID", "AMAZON_CLIENT_SECRET": "YOUR_AMAZON_CLIENT_SECRET", "AMAZON_PARTNER_TAG": "YOUR_AMAZON_PARTNER_TAG", "AMAZON_CREDENTIAL_VERSION": "YOUR_AMAZON_CREDENTIAL_VERSION", "AMAZON_MARKETPLACE": "YOUR_AMAZON_MARKETPLACE" }
}
}
} - Replace
YOUR_AMAZON_CLIENT_ID,YOUR_AMAZON_CLIENT_SECRET,YOUR_AMAZON_PARTNER_TAG,YOUR_AMAZON_CREDENTIAL_VERSION,YOUR_AMAZON_MARKETPLACEwith your own values. - Save the file and restart Augment Code.
Check it worked
Ask Augment Code: List the tools of amazon-creators.
If it does not start
- spawn npx ENOENT
- Node.js is not on the PATH that Augment Code sees. Install it, or write the
full path of
npxin the config. - The server starts, but its tools fail
- A
YOUR_…placeholder is still in the config, or its value is wrong. - Nothing changes after a restart
- The file is not valid JSON any more. Look for a missing comma where the block was added.
