- Docker, which
gives the
dockercommand the server starts with. - Your own values for

Steps
- Run this in a terminal. It writes the server into
~/.codex/config.toml, which the Codex CLI, its IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share.
codex mcp add bamboo-mcp --env BAMBOO_URL=YOUR_BAMBOO_URL --env BAMBOO_TOKEN=YOUR_BAMBOO_TOKEN --env MCP_TRANSPORT=YOUR_MCP_TRANSPORT -- docker run -i --rm -e BAMBOO_URL -e BAMBOO_TOKEN -e MCP_TRANSPORT ghcr.io/hmdmph/bamboo-mcp:0.1.2 - Replace
YOUR_BAMBOO_URL,YOUR_BAMBOO_TOKEN,YOUR_MCP_TRANSPORTwith your own values. - Start Codex again and type
/mcp: the server is listed.
Check it worked

If it does not start
- Cannot connect to the Docker daemon
- Docker is not running. Start it, then restart Codex.
- The server starts, but its tools fail
- A
YOUR_…placeholder is still in the config, or its value is wrong.
