Install Apify data tools: Threads, Yelp, transcripts, Trends, Airbnb, Jumia in Devin Desktop
What you need first
- Devin Desktop, installed.
- Nothing else: the server runs on its publisher's machines and Devin Desktop connects to it.
Steps
- Open
~/.config/devin/mcp_config.json, or create it. On Windows it is%APPDATA%\devin\mcp_config.json. - Add this block. If the file already has
mcpServers, add only the entry inside it.

}
}
} - Save the file and restart Devin Desktop.
Check it worked
Ask Devin Desktop: List the tools of apify-data-tools.
If it does not start
- 401 Unauthorized
- The endpoint wants a sign-in or a key. Sign in when Devin Desktop asks.
- Nothing changes after a restart
- The file is not valid JSON any more. Look for a missing comma where the block was added.
