Install Yandex Metrika in mcp-client-cli
What you need first
- mcp-client-cli, installed.
- uv, which
gives the
uvxcommand the server starts with. - Your own value for
YOUR_YANDEX_METRIKA_TOKEN.
Steps
- Open
~/.codex/config.toml, or create it. The Codex CLI, its IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share this file. - Add this table at the end of the file.
{
"mcpServers": {
"yandex-metrika": {
"command": "uvx",
"args": ["mcp-server-yandex-metrika==0.2.4"],
"env": { "YANDEX_METRIKA_TOKEN": "YOUR_YANDEX_METRIKA_TOKEN" }
}
}
} - Replace
YOUR_YANDEX_METRIKA_TOKENwith your own value. - Save the file and restart mcp-client-cli.
Check it worked
Ask mcp-client-cli: List the tools of yandex-metrika.
If it does not start
- spawn uvx ENOENT
- uv is not on the PATH that mcp-client-cli sees. Install it, or write the
full path of
uvxin the config. - The server starts, but its tools fail
- A
YOUR_…placeholder is still in the config, or its value is wrong. - Nothing changes after a restart
- The file is not valid JSON any more. Look for a missing comma where the block was added.
