Install OpenRouter 工作台 Local in mcp-client-cli

What you need first

  • mcp-client-cli, installed.
  • Node.js, which gives the npx command the server starts with.
  • Your own values for YOUR_OPENROUTER_MANAGEMENT_KEY,YOUR_OPENROUTER_WORKBENCH_DATA_DIR.

Steps

  1. Open ~/.codex/config.toml, or create it. The Codex CLI, its IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share this file.
  2. Add this table at the end of the file.
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "openrouter-analytics-mcp": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@cyuanxv/[email protected]"],
      "env": { "OPENROUTER_MANAGEMENT_KEY": "YOUR_OPENROUTER_MANAGEMENT_KEY", "OPENROUTER_WORKBENCH_DATA_DIR": "YOUR_OPENROUTER_WORKBENCH_DATA_DIR" }
    }
  }
}
  1. Replace YOUR_OPENROUTER_MANAGEMENT_KEY,YOUR_OPENROUTER_WORKBENCH_DATA_DIR with your own values.
  2. Save the file and restart mcp-client-cli.

Check it worked

Ask mcp-client-cli: List the tools of openrouter-analytics-mcp.

If it does not start

spawn npx ENOENT
Node.js is not on the PATH that mcp-client-cli sees. Install it, or write the full path of npx in the config.
The server starts, but its tools fail
A YOUR_… placeholder is still in the config, or its value is wrong.
Nothing changes after a restart
The file is not valid JSON any more. Look for a missing comma where the block was added.
