Install @vibebrowser/chrome-devtools-mcp in Cline

What you need first

  • Cline, installed.
  • Node.js, which gives the npx command the server starts with.

Steps

  1. In Cline, open the MCP Servers icon, then the Configure tab, and choose Configure MCP Servers. It opens cline_mcp_settings.json.
  2. Add this block. If the file already has mcpServers, add only the entry inside it.
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "chrome-devtools-mcp-d450e3": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@vibebrowser/chrome-devtools-mcp"]
    }
  }
}
  1. Save the file. Cline reloads it and lists the server under MCP Servers.

Check it worked

Ask Cline: List the tools of chrome-devtools-mcp-d450e3.

If it does not start

spawn npx ENOENT
Node.js is not on the PATH that Cline sees. Install it, or write the full path of npx in the config.
Nothing changes after a restart
The file is not valid JSON any more. Look for a missing comma where the block was added.
