What you need first
- Kiro CLI, installed.
- uv, which
gives the
uvxcommand the server starts with. - Your own values for
YOUR_CHECKMK_SERVER_URL,YOUR_CHECKMK_SITE,YOUR_CHECKMK_USERNAME,YOUR_CHECKMK_PASSWORD.
Steps
- Open
~/.codex/config.toml, or create it. The Codex CLI, its IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share this file. - Add this table at the end of the file.
{
"mcpServers": {
"vibemk": {
"command": "uvx",
"args": ["vibemk==0.6.4"],
"env": { "CHECKMK_SERVER_URL": "YOUR_CHECKMK_SERVER_URL", "CHECKMK_SITE": "YOUR_CHECKMK_SITE", "CHECKMK_USERNAME": "YOUR_CHECKMK_USERNAME", "CHECKMK_PASSWORD": "YOUR_CHECKMK_PASSWORD" }
}
}
} - Replace
YOUR_CHECKMK_SERVER_URL,YOUR_CHECKMK_SITE,YOUR_CHECKMK_USERNAME,YOUR_CHECKMK_PASSWORDwith your own values. - Save the file and restart Kiro CLI.
Check it worked
Ask Kiro CLI: List the tools of vibemk.
If it does not start
- spawn uvx ENOENT
- uv is not on the PATH that Kiro CLI sees. Install it, or write the
full path of
uvxin the config. - The server starts, but its tools fail
- A
YOUR_…placeholder is still in the config, or its value is wrong. - Nothing changes after a restart
- The file is not valid JSON any more. Look for a missing comma where the block was added.
