Install Angel One in Kiro
What you need first
- Kiro, installed.
- Node.js, which
gives the
npxcommand the server starts with. - Your own values for
YOUR_ANGEL_API_KEY,YOUR_ANGEL_CLIENT_ID,YOUR_ANGEL_PASSWORD,YOUR_ANGEL_TOTP_SECRET.
Steps
- Open
~/.codex/config.toml, or create it. The Codex CLI, its IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share this file. - Add this table at the end of the file.
{
"mcpServers": {
"angel-one": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "[email protected]"],
"env": { "ANGEL_API_KEY": "YOUR_ANGEL_API_KEY", "ANGEL_CLIENT_ID": "YOUR_ANGEL_CLIENT_ID", "ANGEL_PASSWORD": "YOUR_ANGEL_PASSWORD", "ANGEL_TOTP_SECRET": "YOUR_ANGEL_TOTP_SECRET" }
}
}
} - Replace
YOUR_ANGEL_API_KEY,YOUR_ANGEL_CLIENT_ID,YOUR_ANGEL_PASSWORD,YOUR_ANGEL_TOTP_SECRETwith your own values. - Save the file and restart Kiro.
Check it worked
Ask Kiro: List the tools of angel-one.
If it does not start
- spawn npx ENOENT
- Node.js is not on the PATH that Kiro sees. Install it, or write the
full path of
npxin the config. - The server starts, but its tools fail
- A
YOUR_…placeholder is still in the config, or its value is wrong. - Nothing changes after a restart
- The file is not valid JSON any more. Look for a missing comma where the block was added.
