What you need first
- Continue, installed.
- Docker, which
gives the
dockercommand the server starts with. - Your own value for
YOUR_AGEND_API_TOKEN.
Steps
- Open
~/.continue/config.yaml. On Windows it is%USERPROFILE%\.continue\config.yaml. - Add this entry. If the file already has
mcpServers, add only the item from- nameon.
mcpServers:
- name: "agend-sh"
type: stdio
command: "docker"
args:
- "run"
- "-i"
- "--rm"
- "-e"
- "AGEND_API_TOKEN"
- "ghcr.io/agend-sh/agend-mcp@sha256:4462e2571be0e69003e1be93255e04523342e1e5aa17482ec3d63bd7506bb82f"
env:
"AGEND_API_TOKEN": "YOUR_AGEND_API_TOKEN" - Replace
YOUR_AGEND_API_TOKENwith your own value. - Save the file and restart Continue.
Check it worked
Ask Continue: List the tools of agend-sh.
If it does not start
- Cannot connect to the Docker daemon
- Docker is not running. Start it, then restart Continue.
- The server starts, but its tools fail
- A
YOUR_…placeholder is still in the config, or its value is wrong. - Nothing changes after a restart
- The file is not valid YAML any more. Check that the entry is indented like the lines around it.
