Install Salesforce in Codex
What you need first
- Codex, installed.
- Docker, which
gives the
dockercommand the server starts with. - Your own values for
YOUR_AUTH_MODE,YOUR_SALESFORCE_CLIENT_ID,YOUR_SALESFORCE_CLIENT_SECRET,YOUR_SALESFORCE_INSTANCE_URL.
Steps
- Run this in a terminal. It writes the server into
~/.codex/config.toml, which the Codex CLI, its IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share.
codex mcp add salesforce-mcp --env AUTH_MODE=YOUR_AUTH_MODE --env SALESFORCE_CLIENT_ID=YOUR_SALESFORCE_CLIENT_ID --env SALESFORCE_CLIENT_SECRET=YOUR_SALESFORCE_CLIENT_SECRET --env SALESFORCE_INSTANCE_URL=YOUR_SALESFORCE_INSTANCE_URL -- docker run -i --rm -e AUTH_MODE -e SALESFORCE_CLIENT_ID -e SALESFORCE_CLIENT_SECRET -e SALESFORCE_INSTANCE_URL ghcr.io/wyre-ai/salesforce-mcp:v1.0.7 - Replace
YOUR_AUTH_MODE,YOUR_SALESFORCE_CLIENT_ID,YOUR_SALESFORCE_CLIENT_SECRET,YOUR_SALESFORCE_INSTANCE_URLwith your own values. - Start Codex again and type
/mcp: the server is listed.
