Install Temporal Continuity in mcp-client-cli

What you need first

mcp-client-cli, installed.
Node.js, which gives the npx command the server starts with.
Your own values for YOUR_TEMPORAL_CONTINUITY_API_KEY,YOUR_TEMPORAL_CONTINUITY_BASE_URL,YOUR_TEMPORAL_CONTINUITY_ORGANIZATION_ID,YOUR_TEMPORAL_CONTINUITY_PROJECT_ID,YOUR_TEMPORAL_CONTINUITY_ENVIRONMENT_ID.

Steps

Open ~/.codex/config.toml, or create it. The Codex CLI, its IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share this file.
Add this table at the end of the file.

Replace YOUR_TEMPORAL_CONTINUITY_API_KEY,YOUR_TEMPORAL_CONTINUITY_BASE_URL,YOUR_TEMPORAL_CONTINUITY_ORGANIZATION_ID,YOUR_TEMPORAL_CONTINUITY_PROJECT_ID,YOUR_TEMPORAL_CONTINUITY_ENVIRONMENT_ID with your own values.
Save the file and restart mcp-client-cli.

Check it worked

Ask mcp-client-cli: List the tools of temporal-continuity.

If it does not start

spawn npx ENOENT: Node.js is not on the PATH that mcp-client-cli sees. Install it, or write the full path of npx in the config.
The server starts, but its tools fail: A YOUR_… placeholder is still in the config, or its value is wrong.
Nothing changes after a restart: The file is not valid JSON any more. Look for a missing comma where the block was added.
