Install VaultCrux Platform in oterm

What you need first

  • oterm, installed.
  • Nothing else: the server runs on its publisher's machines and oterm connects to it.
  • Your own values for YOUR_X_API_KEY,YOUR_X_TENANT_ID.

Steps

  1. Open ~/.codex/config.toml, or create it. The Codex CLI, its IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share this file.
  2. Add this table at the end of the file.
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "vaultcrux-platform": {
      "url": "https://api.vaultcrux.com/platform/mcp",
      "headers": { "x-api-key": "YOUR_X_API_KEY", "x-tenant-id": "YOUR_X_TENANT_ID" }
    }
  }
}
  1. Replace YOUR_X_API_KEY,YOUR_X_TENANT_ID with your own values.
  2. Save the file and restart oterm.

Check it worked

Ask oterm: List the tools of vaultcrux-platform.

If it does not start

401 Unauthorized
The endpoint wants a sign-in or a key. Sign in when oterm asks, or check the value in place of the placeholder.
The server starts, but its tools fail
A YOUR_… placeholder is still in the config, or its value is wrong.
Nothing changes after a restart
The file is not valid JSON any more. Look for a missing comma where the block was added.
