Tools 3

  • lit_search_s2_paper Fetch full details for one paper by Semantic Scholar ID, DOI, arXiv ID, PMID or corpus ID. Returns the abstract, authors, venue, citation counts, BibTeX, direct link and open-access PDF. Optionally expand the papers that cite it and the papers it references, including citation-context snippets, to trace a research thread. Returns: A markdown record for the paper plus optional citation/reference lists.
  • lit_search_s2_related Find literature adjacent to what you already have. Two routes: pass seed paper IDs to get Semantic Scholar recommendations (optional negative seeds steer away from a direction), or pass an author name to get that author with their most-cited papers. Use this to expand a reading list after an initial search. Returns: A markdown list of recommended papers or of the author's most-cited papers.
  • lit_search_s2_search_papers Search Semantic Scholar for academic papers. Returns citation counts, venues, authors, external IDs (DOI/arXiv/PMID) and open-access PDF links. Supports Boolean queries in bulk mode, year, venue and field filters, and sorting by citation count. Use this to find literature on a topic. Returns: A markdown list of matching papers.
