Resolves a ticker, share-class ticker (GOOG), CIK, predecessor CIK or name. market='auto' (default): a US-listed company returns the canonical record (ticker, CIK, name, SIC, fiscal year end, share classes, predecessor CIKs, knowledge-graph node id for kg_* tools, Damodaran industry, and which data families the warehouse holds with dates); a name that is not an exact US ticker or CIK also searches the Indian NSE/BSE universe and lists those symbols. market='us' or 'india' restricts it. `query` is the older argument name of the Indian-only tool: a call with `query` and no market searches NSE/BSE only (an Indian symbol such as TCS is also a US ticker).
