Shortwave is an email client with a built-in assistant that can call tools from outside services. MCP servers are added on its integrations page with Add custom integration: a remote server by the URL of its MCP endpoint, with sign-in when the service needs it, or a local server by command, arguments and environment variables. Local servers work only in the desktop app, and integrations need a Business, Premier or Max plan.
