chat.md is a VS Code extension that turns a .chat.md file into an editable chat, so the whole history can be changed, versioned and continued with any model reached through an OpenAI-style or Anthropic API. MCP servers are set in VS Code settings under chatmd.mcpServers, keyed by name: local ones with command and args over stdio, remote ones by url over Streamable HTTP or SSE, with optional custom headers.
