Official site

Amazon Q Developer is a coding assistant plugin for VS Code, JetBrains IDEs, Eclipse and Visual Studio. MCP servers are added from the tools icon in its Chat panel: choose global or project scope, then enter a command, arguments and env values for stdio, or a URL with optional headers for HTTP, which is saved to ~/.aws/amazonq/default.json or .amazonq/default.json. AWS has announced end of support for the IDE plugins on April 30, 2027.
